Angels bulk up infield with trade for Urshela November 18th, 2022 Rhett Bollinger
ANAHEIM -- The Angels have been looking to add to their overall depth this offseason and did just that on Friday, acquiring third baseman Gio Urshela from the Twins in exchange for Minor League right-hander Alejandro Hidalgo. Urshela, 31, gives the Angels a veteran third baseman who also has some experience at shortstop and first base. He’s coming off a solid year, as he batted .285/.338/.429 with 13 homers, 27 doubles and 64 RBIs in a career-high 144 games with Minnesota last season. General manager Perry Minasian said he sees Urshela as an everyday player who can split time between third base and first base, while also seeing occasional time at shortstop, second base or the outfield.
Angels bolster outfield with trade for Renfroe November 22nd, 2022 @RhettBollinger
ANAHEIM -- Angels general manager Perry Minasian made it clear at the annual GM Meetings on Nov. 15 that adding to the outfield would be a priority for the club this offseason, despite having Mike Trout, Taylor Ward, Jo Adell and Mickey Moniak on the roster. The Angels accomplished that goal on Tuesday, as they acquired veteran outfielder Hunter Renfroe from the Brewers in exchange for right-handers Janson Junk and Elvis Peguero and lefty Adam Seminaris. Renfroe, 30, is coming off a strong season with the Brewers that saw him slash .255/.315/.492 with 29 homers, 23 doubles and 72 RBIs in 125 games. He played 118 games in right field and has mostly played that position throughout his seven-year career, although he does have experience in left field as well.

"Obviously, it's a productive player who has done it year in and year out for a while,” general manager Perry Minasian said. “Not only can he produce on the offensive side, he's a quality defender who can really throw. He's just the total package. We felt like he was a really good fit for us." 0572名無しさん2022/11/24(木) 04:56:50.90ID:zQmYgmgO0>>571 これで守備に大きな不安を抱えるアデルと、 やっとオサラバできるな。 0573名無しさん(アメリカ)2022/11/27(日) 09:14:30.50ID:acU2UAlPH 速報
With the MLB Winter Meetings set to begin Sunday in San Diego, the market is beginning to set up for Judge. The right fielder has an offer “in the neighborhood” of $300 million over eight years from the Yankees, ESPN reported on Wednesday. That echoed other recent reports, including from The Post’s Jon Heyman last week, that the Yankees are “believed to have $300 million plus on the table” Judge. That number could increase, especially if the Giants start a bidding war for the most coveted free agent on the market.
ANAHEIM -- The Angels are set to be well represented at the World Baseball Classic, as several of their players have committed to play in the event, including superstars Mike Trout for Team USA and Shohei Ohtani for Team Japan. But they’re not the only ones, as infielder David Fletcher and catcher Max Stassi have committed to play for Team Italy, left-hander Patrick Sandoval is on Team Mexico’s preliminary roster, right-hander Jaime Barría is on Team Panama’s preliminary roster and reliever Zack Weiss is on Team Israel’s preliminary roster. Infielder Luis Rengifo is also waiting to hear if he’s made the squad for Team Venezuela, or if he’ll play for Team Colombia instead. He’s eligible to play for either country, and would start in center field if he’s on Colombia’s roster. And several Minor Leaguers are also committed to play in the event such as D’Shawn Knowles (Great Britain), Aaron Whitefield (Australia) and Julio Goff (Panama). Angels coach Benji Gil will also serve as Team Mexico's manager. 0629名無しさん(アメリカ)2022/12/15(木) 23:06:23.26ID:Yz+/lMjf0 速報

Drury agrees to 2-year deal with Angels (source) December 20th, 2022
@RhettBollinger ANAHEIM -- Free-agent infielder Brandon Drury reached an agreement on a two-year, $17 million deal with the Angels on Tuesday, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. The Halos have not confirmed the deal and they will have to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Drury. The 30-year-old Drury teed off for a career-high 28 home runs over 138 games between the Reds and Padres in 2022, earning the Silver Slugger Award as a utility player in the National League. Drury hit .263/.320/.492 with 31 doubles and 87 RBIs, while seeing action at third base, first base, second base, shortstop and right field. He brings versatility to the Angels, who also traded for infielder Gio Urshela and outfielder Hunter Renfroe this offseason. Adding quality depth was a goal for Los Angeles and Drury fits that mold, as he has power and can play all over the diamond.
