欧米ものには『ＭＩＳＨＩＭＡ』（作品中における日本の超国家主義の取扱いのゆえに）や『ラスト・エンペラー』（作品中における
南京大虐殺の際の婦女暴行の描写のゆえに）といった映画があるが、不幸にも、本書もその仲間入りをしてしまったわけである。

この事業は、第三世界の主には貧しい数十万もの女性や子供を犯し、彼女たちを自国や外国での売春へと無理やり引きずり
込んでいくそうした事業だった。

カの上院の司法小委員会でソ連のスパイ容疑で，糾弾が行われまして影響力
を失っていました。ところが，ベトナム戦争が終わった 75 年ごろから，『敗
北を抱きしめて』でピュリツァー賞を取ったアメリカの著名な学者ジョン・
ダワー・マサチューセッツ工科大学教授がノーマンを再評価する形で，ノー
マン理論が復活します。
　その背景には，アメリカのニューレフトと言われる人たちがベトナム戦争
のあと，共産化がアジアで進むと思ったところ，インドネシアの共産クーデ
ターが失敗してから，反共の ASEAN ができて，共産主義の強化，いわゆ
る資本主義の弱体化が彼らは必要だというふうに考えたのです。そこで資本
主義の弱体化のためには，ノーマンが唱えた過去を反省できない侵略をする
日本弱体化のノーマン理論というのが非常に都合が良かったため，この考え
が彼らの中心になったようです。その中心人物が，どうもジョン・ダワー教
授だったのではないかというふうに思います。その考えが，同じころに日本
でも伝わります。ダワー教授が言っているのは，アジアの民主化には日米同
盟を解体して，日本を弱体化する。アジアに対して日本は，もっともっと謝
罪しなくてはいけない。東京裁判が中途半端に終わったため，天皇の戦争責
任を改めて追及して，未完の占領政策を徹底しなくてはいけないというよう
なことを唱え始めたわけなのです。

このころから，反日ネットワークといいますか，反日の活動というのが活発
に行われるようになったのです。日本では，家永さんの教科書検定の裁判を
支援する運動とか，ピースボートの運動というものがあって，そういったも
のと世界の反日国際ネットワークが連動するような形で始まります。現在も
これがノーマンを再評価する形，一種の日本を悪玉にするという日本悪玉論
というのが世界で広がっているのではないかと思います。今でもその中心な
のが，ダワー教授たちではないかと思います。この 5 月にもジョン・ダワー
教授は「日本は行き過ぎた愛国主義の存在がある。そのため，アジアに対し
て反省できない。だからもっと真摯に，もう一度向かうべきだ」ということ
をおっしゃっています。加害者責任をもう一度，戦後 70 年に感じ取って，
日本はもっともっと反省しなくてはいけないということを言っています。
　残念ながらノーマン理論が元になって，今も日本を弱体化させるという動
きが世界で広がっているということが，私は非常に残念です。

2) The comfort women system was not illegal in Japan's eyes in the 1930s, and the allied forces didn't think it
was illegal, either.

3) The South Korean government established comfort women system for its troops in Vietnam in the 1960s and
for the U.S. troops stationed in South Korea in the 1960s & 70s. The Koreans for some reason think coercion and
confinement took place in Japan's system but not in Korea's system.

4) If the Japanese government or people tried to get facts out, the international community would perceive that
effort as revisionism.

The Japanese rule was one of economic exploitation and hundreds of thousands of Koreans were pressed into forced labour to
aid the Japanese expansion in other parts of Asia.

The brutal regime also saw thousands of girls and young women forced to work in military brothels set up for Japanese soldiers
before and during World War Two.

Known euphemistically as "comfort women", they were forced into sexual slavery. Aside from Korean victims, the Japanese army
also forced girls from Taiwan, China and the Philippines into the brothels.

Based on a historical experience of Japanese invasion, China's reaction to the rising sun flag at the Olympics could be similar to
South Korea's.

After the Japanese military took the Chinese city of Nanjing in 1937, Japanese troops embarked on a months-long campaign of
murder, rape and looting in what became one of the worst massacres of the war.

According to Chinese estimates, around 300,000 people were killed, many of them women and children, and around 20,000 women
raped. Yet there's little protest from China about the flag.

Yet even though the rising sun flag has a longer history, "no-one in Japan uses the rising sun flag for any purpose other than
romanticising and rewriting the horrible human rights abuses committed under the Japanese empire," argues Koichi Nakano,
professor of political science at Sophia University in Tokyo.

That both France and Germany had prostitute corps that served their military is known, but only at the footnote level.
That American GIs made use of a post-war extension of the comfort women system has been documented by historians,
such as John Dower and Yuki Tanaka, but almost never figures in English-language journalism about this issue.

The Korean literary scholar Park Yuha and the Korean-American anthropologist C. Sarah Soh have produced thoroughly
documented works that describe the comfort women system in terms quite different from the usual description appearing
in the English-language press. However, they have been almost totally ignored by the scores of journalists and pundits
who have written on this issue.

A recent South Korean court ruling that the government had used coercion on women serving American GIs in the so-called
camp towns that provide sexual services for American troops in Korea received scant attention.

On May 5, 2015 the online humanities and social sciences portal, H-Asia/H-Net, published a statement issued by 187 Japanese studies scholars that calls on Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo to “act boldly” on significant issues raised during his historic speech before a joint session of the U.S. Congress on April 29 ― a first for a Japanese prime minister.

自然とお互いをある程度見分けられるようになる。
X(Twitter)上で慰安婦問題での日本叩き、ラムザイヤー攻撃に蝟集する外国人には明らかにユダヤ系が多いが、
彼らは、顔や名前のみならず、ポスト内容やフォロー、フォロワー、「いいね」などの情報から、お互いがユダヤ人
であることを見分けているのだろう。
