「君が代」 の歌詞はは古今集巻七、賀部巻頭（905年頃）の歌がルーツとされています
　“わが君は千代に八千代にさざれ石のいはほとなりて苔のむすまで”

梁塵秘抄（1180年頃）のつぎの歌はこれと同じ発想　
　“そよ　君が代は千代に一度ゐる塵の　白雲かかる山となるまで”　

歌われたのは鹿児島県入来町日之丸にある大宮神社の朗詠が嚆矢とされています。
発祥は鎌倉時代。
