あ、クラシックの英デッカね。音の定評は伝わってます。独テレフンケンとの提携とかあるのかな。
我も素人ながら予てより、キング盤のギャザーズ・ノー・モス (ほぼ全mono) は丁寧なreマスタリングだと思っている。
ストーンズの場合、回転ムラに定評あるわ、中には意図的なナロウレンジ曲 ―FFRR.に背いて！― まであるわにも拘らず、その盤のハイエンドは爽快だった。
後にアブコのロンドンイヤーズ(‘02リマ以前の)聴いたら違いのヒドさは一瞬で判った。まぁグリン(於UK.)もHi-fiなんて標榜してたらあの (ベガー、ブリードの) 音像は出現しなかった訳で‥‥

お題の曲置き去りで御免。唯一ヴォーカル曲がサッチモの真似かぁ (後年You know my nameにも一瞬降りるが)。ブルージーだとケムプフェルト(訂正します、)氏がNG.だったのかな。

Well, the recording test came and went.
The people that decide about these things at Decca said 'no'.
Well, you can imagine I was more worried about what I was going to say to the boys, having built up their hopes.
So I allowed myself a final 24 hours to exhaust the remaining disc companies and I booked into the Green Park Hotel.
In the morning I took a cab to the EMI office block in Manchester Square, London, to meet the man who would within less than 2 years produce 16 number one discs by my artists.

そうです、ビートルズの面々にもっと望みを持つように言うつもりだったことを

グリーンパークホテルを予約しました。
朝、ロンドン、マンチェスタースクウェアのＥＭＩオフィスの一角を借りて
