アルバムのベスト･トラックはキスキスキス、多分にB52'sっぽいが。
それからウォッチング･ホイールズは、活動再開に向けた所信表明かな。駄曲はDear Yokoぐらいか。まぁあとヨーコのは｢外せない付き添い｣なのだろう(失礼)。
手堅いバック陣、手慣れたアレンジやミキシングは寧ろ不満。

これはほんとに駄曲だな。
俺の連れのビーファンは
「ビートルズの再結成だ！ジェフ・リンがプロデユースしたんだぞ！」
なんてはしゃいでたけど、俺は全然いいとは思わなかった。
まず、レノンの弾き語りの音と声がぼやけている。
そんなもやもやに最新鋭の伴奏入れても無駄だね。
曲自身もそんなにいいとは思わない。
「ビートルズ再結成」という幻想におぼれたファンのための曲に過ぎない。
ミルク＆ハニーはディスク化にこそレノンはたち合ってないが
あれは紛れもなくレノンの音になってる。

Sometimes I'd borrow a tape recorder, a Grundig with a little green eye and we'd sort of go around to my house and tried to record little things such as...
I remember Hallelujah, I Just Love Her So'cause I had the Eddie Cochran record.
But those were very much home demos, very bad quality.

スチュ・サトクリフがベーシストとして存在してたことが確認できる
っていう点のみに価値が音源だと思うんだよね。

記録以上の意味はない音源だから、
スチュのベースが入ってるかどうかよく分からない

　３点定位が似た感じ。

マーティンは「モノで凝縮」したと言っていた。
クラシックかジャズなら、コンソールステレオも想定しただろうけど、当時ポピュラーソングの再生環境だったら、ラジオか電蓄が一般的だろう。そんな小さなスピーカーからでも飛び込んでくるサウンディングが、最優先だったのだろう。

デッカが汚名返上に売り出したストーンズは、3rd.LPまでモノラル(＋疑似ステ)のみの発売でしたけど何かw。

お、2017年現在3者とも同一の販売元か。

あ、クラシックの英デッカね。音の定評は伝わってます。独テレフンケンとの提携とかあるのかな。
我も素人ながら予てより、キング盤のギャザーズ・ノー・モス (ほぼ全mono) は丁寧なreマスタリングだと思っている。
ストーンズの場合、回転ムラに定評あるわ、中には意図的なナロウレンジ曲 ―FFRR.に背いて！― まであるわにも拘らず、その盤のハイエンドは爽快だった。
後にアブコのロンドンイヤーズ(‘02リマ以前の)聴いたら違いのヒドさは一瞬で判った。まぁグリン(於UK.)もHi-fiなんて標榜してたらあの (ベガー、ブリードの) 音像は出現しなかった訳で‥‥

お題の曲置き去りで御免。唯一ヴォーカル曲がサッチモの真似かぁ (後年You know my nameにも一瞬降りるが)。ブルージーだとケムプフェルト(訂正します、)氏がNG.だったのかな。
